Earlier, on Friday night, at 2:14 pm, Bangabandhu satellite-1 has been launched in space from the historic launch complex 39 in Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.

BTRC said its control will be handed over to the Ground Station in Bangladesh after the satellite is fully operational. Satellite ground station has been installed in Joydevpur of Gazipur district and at Balbuena of Rangamati.
