Power outages across the Merrimack Valley were increasing as the nor'easter was intensifying into early Thursday morning. The majority of the state's more than 100,000 outages could be found in the region and Worcester County.

Severe outages plagued the Northeast for days following last Friday's storm. A storm last October knocked out power for the Merrimack Valley for days, even postponing Halloween in some communities.
